Kerrisdale Playbook is a monthly online magazine published from January 2012.  The Community Engagement Committee (CEC), has been newly established in May 2011 and is appointed by and reports to the Board of Directors of the Kerrisdale Community Centre Society (KCCS). It operates in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and strategies of the Society.

The Community Engagement Committee seeks: 

  1. To establish mechanisms for public input with the expressed purpose of optimizing multiple communications and engagement strategies.
  2. To develop multiple communications and facilitate opportunities for citizens to have a voice in meeting the recreational needs of all residents in the community.

MISSION

Communication Outreach

  1. Identify and engage the groups/individuals who have an interest in or can impact recreation and healthy living development in the community.
  2. Develop web-based communication process, public forums/displays and other communication strategies.

Key Messages

1.   Promote healthy and active living in the community.

Consultative Approach

  1. Be a resource for the KCCS and staff on engaging and consulting the community.
